Maxine Viggers has been a Trust Waikato trustee since 2010.
Maxine’s working background includes time spent in farming and the public service. A keen supporter of the rural sector, in particular small communities, she runs a farm with her husband Stephen at Piarere.
Her passion for people extends to her hobby as a family history enthusiast. She is a member of the Matamata and New Zealand Society of Genealogists, and also belongs to family history societies in the UK and Ireland. Travel overseas usually includes an opportunity to carry out further genealogical research.
As a Trust Waikato trustee, Maxine is particularly interested in the trust’s investments. She enjoys learning more about the Trust’s diverse investment portfolio, and has attended several investment-related workshops and conferences. Maxine has also been a member of various Trust Board sub-committees.
