Business Services Manager

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Want to be part of a vibrant philanthropic organisation? Each year the Trust distributes a percentage of its profits generated from the global investment portfolio as grants to help organisations carry out charitable, philanthropic and recreational projects of benefit to people in the region.  In 2016-2017 the Trust granted over $11.6 million to 646 community organisations and projects around the region.  An additional ten projects were approved for donations from the Significant Capital Projects Fund, worth $2.8 million in total.

To complement its effective team of nine staff, the Trust is seeking a Business Services Manager, who will report to the Chief Executive.

The Business Services Manager is accountable for:

  • Managing the Chief Executive’s office to ensure the smooth operation of the Trust Waikato business.
  • As required, acting for the Chief Executive.
  • Providing governance support to the Trust Chairperson and Trustees.
  • Providing leadership of the strategic and business planning processes and overseeing strategic planning and policy development and reviews.
  • This role has one direct report

You will be part of the Trust Waikato team and respected for your expertise in managing business services including strategic planning and policy, IT, property, business optimisation and coordinating staff workflows.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification or are able to demonstrate significant expertise in managing and leading business services and an outstanding record of working in this area. You will possess a “can do” attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will have a passion for the philanthropic and voluntary sector and honour the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
