Celebrating Ken Williamson’s Outstanding Service

Trust Waikato is incredibly proud to celebrate Trustee Ken Williamson, KStJ, QSM, JP, who today received national recognition from Her Excellency the Rt Hon Dame Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand, ONZM for his outstanding service to governance and the community.

This well-deserved honour reflects Ken’s longstanding commitment, leadership and dedication to making a positive difference across our region.

A respected business mentor and long-serving volunteer, Ken has held significant governance, leadership and fundraising roles throughout his career. Through decades of service, he has helped strengthen organisations, support local initiatives and create lasting positive impact for countless people across Waikato and beyond.

We are privileged to have Ken as part of the Trust Waikato whaanau and are delighted to see his dedication, leadership and contribution to our communities recognised in this way.

Mr Ken Williamson, KStJ, QSM, JP, of Hamilton, ONZM for services to governance and the community.

Mr Ken Williamson has held several governance roles in the Order of St John, is a Trustee of Trust Waikato, a member of the Waitangi Tribunal, and Deputy Chair of WINTEC Waikato Polytechnic. He was Chair of the Momentum Waikato Community Foundation, and is a Trustee of the Waikato Regional Property Trust. He has held governance roles with Sky City Trust, Midland Sexual Support Services Trust, the Waikato Chiefs, Magic Netball, and Peak Indoor Sports Centre. He has been a longstanding supporter of Te Whakaruruhau Waikato Women’s Refuge and the McKenzie Centre for children with special needs. He has contributed to the Hamilton Kudos Scientific Awards Trust, the University of Waikato Foundation, and served on local school boards. Mr Williamson is a Fellow of the Insurance Brokers Corporation of New Zealand and a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Directors
