Thank you to everyone who joined us on 11 November for the first hui session of Puna Koorero – Trusted Voices with Dr Rawiri Jansen and Dr Jade Tamatea. There was a great turnout and some really insightful discussions with expert panelists.

A few key takeaways from our team as a recap:

Protect | Vaccination is a key protective tool. The focus needs to be on vaccinating every person who wants to and can have one, regardless of cases or reaching the “90% target”.
Prepare | In addition to vaccination, now is the time to prepare. Individually, getting well. As a whaanau, having a plan if isolation is required. As a community, plans to support the preparation and execution of these.
Waananga | Collaboration, trust, working together and having coordinated communication for the whole community to get through this.
