These appointments mark a new chapter for the Trust as it continues to invest in vibrant, resilient communities across the Waikato region.

Reappointed for a second term in January 2026, Rob has served as Acting Deputy Chair since August 2026. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in the construction and property advisory sector, with strong governance, strategic leadership and commercial expertise. These qualities position him well to lead Trust Waikato and advance the Trust’s commitment to creating positive, lasting outcomes for communities across the region.

Since joining the Board as Trustees in January 2025, both Ken and Glenda have brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership to Trust Waikato.

Ken brings extensive governance expertise, community leadership and a lifelong commitment to service. Nationally recognised for his contributions to governance and the wider community, he provides values-based leadership and strategic insight in his role as Co-Deputy Chair.

Glenda offers significant experience in tribal development, community investment and heritage stewardship. Her commitment to culture, identity and community wellbeing strengthens the Trust’s leadership and reinforces its connection to the communities it serves.

Chief Executive Dennis Turton said, “Rob, Ken and Glenda bring a wealth of knowledge, diverse perspectives and a deep commitment to community wellbeing. Their leadership will help guide Trust Waikato as we continue investing in the people and communities that make our region strong, resilient and thriving.”
