At Trust Waikato, stewardship is more than a principle, it’s our commitment to supporting the wellbeing and aspirations of communities throughout the Waikato region.
We manage a globally diversified investment portfolio with foresight, ensuring sustainable support for generations to come.
In early 2025, Trust Waikato joined a coalition of institutional investors and New Zealand fund managers to support the introduction of the Modern Slavery Bill. By signing a joint statement calling for urgent legislative action on forced labour and human trafficking, we demonstrated how stewardship can extend beyond investment decisions to influence national policy and uphold human rights.
Our Stewardship Practice Report outlines how we apply the Aotearoa New Zealand Stewardship Code, guided by our strategic plan, policies, and Ngaa Pou Rautaki (Strategic Pillars).
